Covid assesment checklist-policy
Welcome back everyone from hopefully an enjoyable summer. We had a really fun time at BCCC, lots of games, crafts, activities, and park visits, with tasty treats mixed in there.
This month we have many fun activities planned and look forward to meeting and getting to know all the new children joining us, plus reconnecting with our friends who were away in the summer.
Activities written in black on the calendar may change depending on the children’s interests for the day. Many times children come up with their own fun activities and ideas. When this happens, we embarrass their creative and initiative rather than stick to the calendar.
Please make sure your child(ren) have sunscreen and proper attire for walking and playing outside in the heat. We will be engaging in water play as much as we can, especially on very hot days, so please make sure they also have a change of clothes and a towel.
Children need to be at the daycare by 10am at the latest. Most of our adventures will be starting at that time and I wouldn’t want anyone to accidentally miss out.

IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR ALL PARENTS: If your child will be away, please be sure to call or text to let staff know.
There are two non-instructional days this month. If your child(ren) attend(s) both days there will be an extra fee.
Out-Of-School-Care (OOSC) and daycare close at 5:30pm.
Please refer to your Parent handbook or ask of our staff if you have any question: Thank you
Just a reminder that if your child is sick, had a fever or something that is contagious it is advisable to keep your child at home until they feel better. We understand that all our families are busy with work and it is very hard to take time off, however, it is difficult for the child to focus and have fun when they are not feeling well. It could also be a potential hazard to your child, other children and the staff at the center.
Please understand that we have this protocol in place for the safety and wellbeing of everyone attending Bear Creek Cubs Childcare.
First Aid kits:
In an emergency, we need to be self-sufficient for at least 72 hours. WE require that each child have an emergency kit at the daycare. If you would rather purchase an emergency kit for your child, please let one of our teachers know. We have them for $10.00.
Theme this month:
Back to School.
Bear Creek Cubs would like to wish a happy 8 th birthday to Kyleigh, 10th birthday to Cayleigh, 9th birthday to Hudson, and 7th birthday to Danika this month! We hope your day is special just like you are!

In Case of fire, Earthquake, Natural Disaster:
If we are not able to go back to our building/Bear Creek Community church then we will go to the temple near our building.
- Inside shoes to wear indoors only: Fire safety requirements that, in case of emergency, we are all wearing shoes or slippers with grip at the bottom of soles if we need to vacate the building. Also, children lie down and play on our inside carpets and floors, so outside shoes are not appropriate for indoors.
- Do not forget to sign in your child at the beginning of the day and sign them out at the end of the night.
Just a reminder that fees are due on or before beginning of the month. A $5.00 late fee will be charged for each day a payment is late
The centre OPENS and CLOSES promptly at 7:00 am and 5:30 pm. Due to insurance reasons we cannot have children in the building before or after these times. Please respect this policy. If you are running late please be sure to call the center as soon as possible. A LATE FEE of $1 per minute must be paid to the closing staff. Thank you
A Box of Kleenex would come a long way. Please bring in a box of Kleenex to share with friends. It`s good practice for children to learn to clean themselves when they need to. Thank you for those who continue to contribute. We are a peanut and tree nut free daycare
Please do not pack your child anything with peanuts or tree nuts. We appreciate your cooperation!
A reminder: For safety please keep the door closed behind you when entering and exiting the daycare centre.
