In addition to this, we have also provided amended sick policy and added safety protocol during this pandemic moment. Please read the information carefully as it is a licensing regulation for us to inform you of this. If you have any questions regarding this information, feel free to ask any of the staff.

IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR ALL PARENTS: If your child will be away, please be sure to call or text to let staff know.
The daycare number is 778-990-5437.
If you notify us of your child being away ahead of time, we would appreciate a written note from parents.

We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Outside Time:

We will be taking the children outside daily so please send your children dressed in weather appropriate clothing. Please send water bottles,
sunscreen and a spare change of clothes in case of anything gets wet from water play. Please also make sure that you do not send your children in flip flops as it is difficult for children this age to walk in them. In accordance with the new licensing policy, we must take the children outside (regardless of the weather) for at least an hour each day. Please dress them appropriately for this.

Please refer to your Parent handbook or ask of our staff if you have any question: Thank you

Just a reminder that if your child is sick, had a fever or something that is contagious it is advisable to keep your child at home until they feel better. We understand that all our families are busy with work and it is very hard to take time off, however, it is difficult for the child to focus and have fun when they are not feeling well. It could also be a potential hazard to your child, other children and the staff at the center.

Please understand that we have this protocol in place for the safety and wellbeing of everyone attending Bear Creek Cubs Childcare.

First Aid kits:

In an emergency, we need to be self-sufficient for at least 72 hours. WE require that each child have an emergency kit at the daycare. If you would rather purchase an emergency kit for your child, please let one of our teachers know. We have them for $10.00.

In Case of fire, Earthquake, Natural Disaster:

If we are not able to go back to our building/Bear Creek Community church then we will go to the temple near our building.

Daycare Requires:

  • Inside shoes to wear indoors only: Fire safety requirements that, in case of emergency, we are all wearing shoes or slippers with grip at the bottom of soles if we need to vacate the building. Also, children lie down and play on our inside carpets and floors, so outside shoes are not appropriate for indoors.
  • Do not forget to sign in your child at the beginning of the day and sign them out at the end of the night.

Just a reminder that fees are due on or before beginning of the month. A $5.00 late fee will be charged for each day a payment is late

The centre OPENS and CLOSES promptly at 7:00 am and 5:30 pm. Due to insurance reasons we cannot have children in the building before or after these times. Please respect this policy. If you are running late please be sure to call the center as soon as possible. A LATE FEE of $1 per minute must be paid to the closing staff. Thank you

A Box of Kleenex would come a long way. Please bring in a box of Kleenex to share with friends. It`s good practice for children to learn to clean themselves when they need to. Thank you for those who continue to contribute. We are a peanut and tree nut free daycare

Please do not pack your child anything with peanuts or tree nuts. We appreciate your cooperation!

A reminder: For safety please keep the door closed behind you when entering and exiting the daycare centre.

****WE value your opinion. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to speak to one of our ECE staff. We will be happy to help you or answer any of your questions. WE appreciate it and we are working on making it a better experience for your children.
