November has arrived, and it’s shaping up to be a jam-packed month of creativity, outdoor adventures, and special celebrations here at Bear Creek Cubs Childcare. From exploring the beautiful fall colours to celebrating Remembrance Day, our classrooms and playgrounds are buzzing with energy, learning, and laughter.
🎨 Programs & Activities: Learning in Full Colour
This month, our curious cubs are diving into the theme of Fall Colours & Exploration! We’ll be celebrating the beauty of the season with activities that inspire creativity, movement, and discovery.
🍁 Fall Art Projects
Our budding artists will create beautiful crafts inspired by the season. Think colourful leaves, poppies for Remembrance Day, and nature-inspired collages.
🌳 Outdoor Play Adventures
With the mild weather, we’ll be spending more time outdoors! The children will enjoy nature walks, fun games, and cozy fall picnics under the golden trees.
🎵 Music & Movement
Our music program will focus on rhythmic songs and dances, helping children develop coordination, confidence, and self-expression — all while having tons of fun!
📅 Special Days & Important Dates
- 🇨🇦 November 11 – Remembrance Day: Daycare CLOSED in observance of this important day. We’ll spend time earlier in the month creating thoughtful art and talking about peace, kindness, and gratitude in simple, age-appropriate ways.
- 🛏️ November 10 – Pro-D Day (PJ & Electronics Day): It’s cozy day! Children can wear their pajamas and bring an age-appropriate electronic for a relaxed, fun day together.
- ⏰ November 26 – Early Dismissal (Simon Cunningham): Dismissal at 1:28 PM — please plan accordingly for pick-up or OOSC attendance.
⏰ Daily Morning Drop-Off Reminder:
Children must arrive by 7:40 AM, as the bus leaves at 7:45 AM sharp! Don’t miss the ride — let’s keep mornings running smoothly! ⏰
🏫 Out of School Care Adventures: Fall Colors & Outdoor Fun!
Our Out of School Care (OOSC) program is in full swing this November with exciting outdoor and indoor activities that keep kids moving, thinking, and smiling!
- 🍂 Outdoor Fun & Games: From leaf hunts to open-field play, we’ll be enjoying the crisp autumn air every chance we get.
- 🎨 Fall Colors Exploration: Kids will explore nature’s beauty through art, color experiments, and hands-on fall crafts.
- 🏸 Badminton: A great way to boost coordination, balance, and sportsmanship — plus, it’s a total hit with our active cubs!
- 🏀 Basketball: Teamwork, energy, and fun! We’ll be practicing dribbling, shooting, and friendly mini-games to build confidence and collaboration.
- ⚽ Kickball: Combining running, kicking, and strategy — it’s a favorite outdoor activity that keeps everyone moving and laughing!
Whether we’re inside crafting or outside playing, your children are guaranteed to come home full of stories and excitement about their day!
📢 Parent Reminders
- 💰 Fees: Monthly fees are due at the beginning of the month. Payments can be made by cash, card, or e-transfer at 📧 bearcreek140@gmail.com.
- 🧥 Extra Clothes: Please send your child with weather-appropriate clothing for outdoor play — including muddy buddies, a warm hat, and boots.
- ⏰ Hours of Operation:
7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Morning drop-off by 7:40 AM (bus departs at 7:45 AM sharp!)
